Job Title: Assistant Teacher (Mandarin/English Bilingual Program)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our Mandarin/English bilingual program team. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with the lead teacher to deliver a high-quality curriculum, support language acquisition in both Mandarin and English, and create a nurturing learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and implement engaging lessons and activities that promote language development and cultural awareness. Provide training and instructional aids and select instructional materials. Employ creative methods of language instruction and utilize a variety of tools and materials within the structure of the designated curriculum. Nurture and facilitate the learning experience by meeting each child at their point of need through a variety of teaching methods, which include but are not limited to individualized care and small group experiences. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning community. Provide Assistant of Education with up-to-date reports of student performance and classroom and behavior management. Facilitate and monitor the continual evaluation of each child’s progress. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, English Education, or a closely related field. This requirement is essential due to the specialized knowledge and skills needed to support CPP family care students effectively. Preferably, candidates with a degree in English or English Education are sought after, as such educational backgrounds provide expertise in language acquisition, literacy development, and cultural sensitivity, all crucial for tailoring instruction to the unique needs of CPP family care students. Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required to facilitate better communication with parents and navigate cultural sensitivities. ---- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Passion for early childhood education and commitment to the well-being and development of young children.
